At The Thompson Charity Foundation Ltd, our mission is to empower and uplift survivors of domestic abuse and financially disadvantaged families on the Sunshine Coast. Q: Who are the beneficiaries of TTCF?
A: At the present we are supporting Rise2 and Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge Society (SCARS).
The RISE2 Foundation transforms lives. Their innovative program provides safe and secure emergency accommodation for women and children affected by domestic and family violence across the Sunshine Coast. The RISE2 properties are more than a place to shelter – they are a home.
SCARS is a non-profit organisation dedicated to rehoming abandoned, abused, stray, and surrendered cats and dogs. Based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia, SCARS provides shelter, care, and veterinary treatment for animals until they find permanent, loving homes. The refuge promotes responsible pet ownership, including desexing, microchipping, and vaccination, and relies heavily on community support, volunteers, and donations to operate.
